Oh hell PASTELS - life drawing homework, was this a challenge or what. Skin TONE, much much harder than I could have every imagined. I have never done anything with colour before. I felt that I turned a reasonably good black and white into a complete disaster - not only that, I have my nose stuck up in the air (due to looking in a mirror while drawing myself) and look like a complete stuck up twat (giggle) ;)
Let you in on a little secret - I actually did three, and non are any better then the other.
